Summary

A minimalist full-screen hero with an autoplaying cinematic video background, subtle grain overlay, serif typography, and architectural navigation — zero framework overhead.

The Challenge

The ask was deceptively simple: a hero that feels like the opening title sequence of a film. No clutter, no carousel, no feature grid — just a powerful video backdrop, restrained typography, and a single clear call to action. The difficulty was in the restraint — every pixel had to earn its place.

The Approach

We led with a full-viewport video element (autoplay, loop, muted) layered with a dark gradient overlay and semi-transparent noise texture for depth. The typography uses Prata (serif) for the headline — a deliberate contrast to the sans-serif web standard — and Inter for supporting text. Navigation is a simple four-link row with a bordered CTA, and the footer bar lists selected work with subtle dividers. The entire page is one HTML file with Tailwind CDN — no build step, no framework.

Technologies Used

For a client project, this phase would include real metrics, user research findings, and post-launch performance data. This case study represents a concept exploration.
